The latest AI insights for Business Leaders and Organisational Orchestrators
Staccato provocation…
How much do you know about those performance improvements you are accruing as GenAI seeps into the pores of your organisational workflows…?
Hello Orchestrators!
Source: Midjourney v6
Is the baseline of how you are measuring your business functions changing? Are you updating your assumptions on a regular (insert short time period here) basis? Do you have mechanisms and feedback loops in place to capture and build on the new tools that GenAI is affording you?
Those tools are of course time, cost, quality…and the adjacent possible. Do you understand the implications for your teams, skills strategy and future recruitment plans? Was your financial plan baked-in last year, built on historical performance data? Did you take account of the rolling benefits that are accruing across your teams? Are you going to wait yet another quarter before you start deep diving into the ocean that your business is already trying to stay afloat on.
The keys to unlocking your business’ accelerated performance with GenAI are laying close by…
Much to consider as another week kicks in. Let’s dive into some of the key news items that caught the attention of your host Orchestrator this week!
In todays email:
Text-to-video takes another leap forward.
So does speech dubbing.
Creating your personal podcast from all those unread Newsletters (like this one?). It’s all in the data.
Agents and simulation. How will it affect businesses?
5 questions for Organisational Orchestrators.
This weeks news:
Google Research showed off its latest tools in video generation with Lumiere, amping up the noise level on possibilities for creators, and soon-to-be creators. Who knows when this will start to get baked-in to existing products, or new tools, but with the pace of innovation in Generative video, it looks like organisations and individuals will soon (1 year?) have the tools to render entire movies. The Verge gives it’s opinion here.
So naturally we move on to speech. Specifically speech dubbing, where Eleven Labs has turned up the volume. Their new tool allows you to (at time of writing) translate your voice into 29 languages….and what comes out is YOUR voice! Simply drop in an audio file or YouTube URL. Consider the possibilities for orchestrating your business across multiple languages, and also for your recruitment plans. I tried it with one of my videos from my YouTube channel…and now I’m 99% fluent in Finnish!
Do you subscribe to a lot of newsletters but never get time to read them? Like this one, for example? Fear not, because now you can catchup by creating your own personal podcast. How? Well it’s all in the data. Specifically all those newsletters which are of course data. Here, one of my favourite YouTubers, Corbin AI, explains how others have created the ability to compress all that data and recycle it in a personally curated way. So now you can listen to a podcast of all those newsletters you missed, while you’re in the car.
The AI Agents are coming/already here…depending on your mindset. Dr Jim Fan of NVIDIA is one of the leading researchers. Here, Matthew Berman breaks down a recent TED Talk by Dr Fan explaining how agents are being trained in simulations to prepare them for the real world jobs. Buckle up…
5 (rolling) questions for Organisational Orchestrators:
How can we pinpoint the exact manual tasks within our office operations that are ripe for AI-driven automation, and what metrics should we track to measure the impact on efficiency and cost?
In what ways can generative AI not only automate existing processes but also identify new avenues for cost savings and efficiency gains that we haven't considered yet?
What strategies should we implement to ensure that the introduction of generative AI into our workflow is seamless, with a particular focus on employee adaptation and upskilling?
Considering the dynamic nature of generative AI, how can we continuously monitor and adjust its application to maximise savings without disrupting ongoing operations?
How can we leverage generative AI to enhance decision-making processes, particularly in finance and human resources, to ensure a more strategic allocation of resources and better financial forecasting?
Staccato Burst…
We need to be able to measure mindset shifts of Leadership teams and Boards as GenAI touches every aspect of the organisations they govern…
That’s all for this week. If you’re curious you can also check out more insights from The Nordic Bridge on YouTube on the organisational implications from applying (or not applying) GenAI…
